A new “just desserts” meaning dessert menu is expected to hit the menus of Australians on Tuesday.
The announcement comes after a week of speculation about the future of the chain.
The menu, which will feature the usual mix of macaroons and cookies, has been in the works for some time.
It was launched in December.
Macdonalds says it’s looking to deliver a “cheerful” experience, with the addition of a new menu item to cater for “all Australians”.
“We know the need for a more fun and fresh, exciting and engaging experience for everyone, and with just desserts meaning we’re bringing that into the mix,” the company said in a statement.
“We’ve taken great care to ensure we deliver an experience that will appeal to all, but especially those who want a more exciting and exciting way to eat.”
The menu is due to hit shelves on Tuesday, and the company says the menu will be rolled out nationwide in the coming weeks.
